2006 Vintage: Domaine GOURON Red Chinon is rated # 4 out of 7 wines in total (red & white) in the TOP VALUES J.MOLESWORTH's Recommeded Loire Wines, for the 2006 Cuvee Domaine : "A lean, taut style, offering a mix of dark and green olive, tobacco, cassis and grilled herb notes." 89pts with a $15 suggested retail price.
2005 Vintage : Within his article, J.MOLESWORTH's mentions : "The good news is that you can still find a range of wines from the superb 2005 harvest, which produce ripe, well-structured reds."
Domaine GOURON Red Chinon Cuvee TERROIR 2005 is still on sale... to date: Also rated WS last Nov. : "A nice core of dark currant and fig paste is layered with tangy iron, olive and cigar smoke notes. There's a hint of sweet mulled spice on the finish, which shows the well-integrated stucture of the vintage. Drink now through 2012." 91pts Outstanding
